Author: johny
Almighty Allah has described believers with many characteristics at various places in Quran. The attributes mentioned in Quran draw a vivid picture of the believers. Given below are the verses of Quran in which noble traits of believers have been mentioned.
- If you disclose your charitable expenditures, they are good; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you, and He will remove from you some of your misdeeds [thereby]. And Allah, with what you do, is [fully] acquainted. (Al-Baqarah 2:271)
- Those who have believed and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest. (Ar-Ra'ad 13:28)
- The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely. (Al-Anfaal 8:2)
- Say, "Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us; He is our protector." And upon Allah let the believers rely. (At-Tawbah 9:51)
- Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty. (Al-Hadeed 57:21)
- And the slaves of the Most Beneficent are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. (Al-Furqaan 25:63)
- And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful. And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys. (Luqmaan 31:18-19)
- And tell My servants to say that which is best. Indeed, Satan induces [dissension] among them. Indeed Satan is ever, to mankind, a clear enemy. (Al-Israa' 17:53)
- O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth. (Al-Ahzaab 33:70)
- So give the relative his right, as well as the needy and the traveler. That is best for those who desire the countenance of Allah, and it is they who will be the successful. (Ar-Room 30:38)
- And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way. (Al-Israa' 17:32)
- Say (O Muhammad): "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, [show] good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason." (Al-An'aam 6:151)
There are many more verses of Quran in which characteristics of believers have been described which are the source of guidance, not only for the Muslims but for the entire humanity.
