Author: elhabibsaleh

Many people do not know Allah.  The aim of these articles is to help them in order to know and acknowledge their Creator.

Verses 6:14-16 of the Noble Quran ask :"Shall I choose as a protector, to worship, other than Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth? Indeed I fear, if I should rebel against my Lord, by worshipping other than Him, the chastisement of a dreadful day, namely, the Day of Resurrection. On that day, if the penalty is averted from any, it is due to Allah's mercy.

Verse 6:14 says:

Say, to them: ‘Shall I take or choose as a protector, to worship, other than Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, the One Who has created them without any precedent, He Who feeds, Who gives sustenance, and is not fed?', and is not given sustenance. Say: ‘I have been commanded to be the first to submit, to Allah, from among this community, and, it was said to me: “Do not be among those who associate others” ', with Him.

In other words, Say to the unbelievers of Mecca, O Muhammad: (I am ordered to be the first to surrender (unto Him)) the first to embrace Islam; it is also said that this means: the first among the people of his time to worship sincerely and declare Allah's divine Oneness. (And be not thou (O Muhammad) of the idolaters) with the idolaters, following their religion.

Verse 6:15 says:

(Say) O Muhammad: (I fear) I know, (if I rebel against my Lord) and worship other than Him, I would be reverting back to your religion, (the retribution of an Awful Day) I would face then a tremendous torment on an Awful Day; it is also said that this means: I would be facing torment on an Awful Day.

In other words, Say: ‘Indeed I fear, if I should rebel against my Lord, by worshipping other than Him, the chastisement of a dreadful day', namely, the Day of Resurrection.

Verse 6:16 says:

On that day, if the penalty is averted from any, it is due to Allah's mercy; and that would be (salvation), the obvious fulfillment of all desire.

in other words, He from whom such retribution is averted on that day, the Day of Judgment; Allah has in truth had mercy on him; He had preserved and forgiven him. That forgiveness will be the signal triumph a great salvation.
